Best 420-friendly Vacation Rentals in the United States

From bills and your job to gas prices and traffic, we all deserve a vacation right about now just for dealing with the daily stress of life. And if you’re anything like us, you might be wondering if there are any cannabis-friendly destinations where you can kick back, relax, and spark up.

Good news. As cannabis legalization continues to spread across the globe, there are plenty of hotels, AirBnBs, and rentals that welcome our favorite herb with open arms. To help you plan your next getaway, we’re breaking down some of the best 420-friendly vacation rentals in the United States.

1. Copper House – Detroit

First on our list of must-see destinations is a Queer- and Black-owned space right here in Detroit at Copper House. Founded by Cara and Jess Jackson with the goal to create memorable experiences for their guests, this house is the stuff of stoner dreams.

When you stay overnight at this historic home, you’ll have your own private room and access to the entire, well-curated space, including the zen-like backyard. You’ll also get to enjoy breakfast each morning, an indoor and outdoor fireplace, and the boutique eateries and shops just steps from the front door. Plus, you can smoke anywhere inside or outside the home—it’s truly like a home away from home.

2. Sol Spirit Retreats – California

Experience glamping at its finest at Sol Spirit Retreats, located in California’s Emerald Triangle. Whether you’re going on a solo excursion or looking to indulge in a group retreat, just let the experts at Sol Spirit take care of your every need.

Each tent features real beds with comfy linens (no scratchy cots here), its own private bath house with running water and fluffy towels, a farm-to-table breakfast and dinner for two on each full day of your stay (vegan and vegetarian options available), aaaand a guided farm tour with their master cultivator. If you really love cannabis and want a chance to truly connect with nature, you get a lot of bang for your buck at this glamorous location.

3. Bayshore Bauhouse – Florida

Tucked away on Rose Bay along the Florida coast, you’ll find Bayshore Bauhouse. While staying at this chill, boho home you can walk right out onto the shore and watch fish jump, dolphins swim, get active on the water, or just chill out on the lanai and watch the sunset—all while high.

Inside the home, it is filled with lush greenery, natural light, and plenty of seating to make yourself comfortable. There’s also laundry and a full kitchen to fulfill your munchie fantasies. If you want to venture away from the house there are plenty of close beaches just down the road where you can discover how the locals relax. It’s a peaceful bayside retreat, far away from the hustle and bustle of adulting.

4. The Healing Care Vortex Center – Pennsylvania

Described as a 420- and family-friendly stay in the heart of West Philly, The Healing Care Vortex is as special as the name indicates. Perfect for both work and pleasure, this space has everything from complimentary wifi and work spaces to plant-based continental breakfast and on-site wellness services.

One thing we love about this bed and breakfast is they give guests access to their cannabis event and networking space called The Lair. If you’re in the mood to socialize, you can mingle with like-minded folx here or just lounge in your private room for a little “you time”. Whatever you decide, your hosts can’t wait to give you a memorable stay.

5. High Society BnB – Illinois

Hosted by Bianca and Tad (founders of smokable hemp brand Society), welcome to Chicago’s first cannabis-friendly bed and breakfast building, High Society BnB. Complete with three separate fully-functioning units, you can experience the Windy City your way. Each unit is completely 420-friendly and comes furnished with all of the essentials including tea and coffee to start your day as well as some smoking accessories for use during your stay.

After enjoying a few puffs in your suite, you can get out and explore Wicker Park, one of the trendiest areas of Chicago, filled with boutiques, restaurants, and nightlife. If you want to head downtown or walk along the river, Wicker Park is also very central to visiting all of the attractions that Chicago has to offer. Just hop on the Blue Line, grab a rideshare, or rent a bike if you’re feeling adventurous—just don’t forget your helmet.

Ready for a staycation?

Whether you’re still planning your next trip or indulging in a staycation, stop into JARS to get the best flower, concentrates, and edibles that Michigan has to offer. Think of it as a vacation for your mind, right in your living room.
